SNACKS began as a spin-off of Dom & Tom, an end-to-end digital product agency with a focus on emerging technology.
We currently operate as a sister company to their organization and value them as our preferred development partner. Over 12 years, founders of SNACKS, David and Paul, developed a human-centered design practice at Dom & Tom and envisioned a company where our practice would live up to its fullest potential.
Design Operations
SNACKS currently helps staff and manage designers across different business units, including staff designers and augmentation for clients. We continue to manage and apply our process with our designers on Dom & Tom projects from Discovery to launch.
Documentation and Change Management
Being a part of an industry that evolves as rapidly as product development requires an adaptability in both process and approach. One of the most tangible manifestations of this adaptability is the documentation provided to both clients and other departments. Developer hand-off — or more accurately, developer collaboration — is something that we take pride in with the team at Dom & Tom. As new technologies emerge, we work with them to make sure we’re doing everything we can to capitalize off of it on our end.
Tool Setup and Recommendations
SNACKS is constantly exploring new tools to push our designs and how we articulate them. When it comes to how we design user interfaces, prototype interactions, and document functionality, there will always be room for improvement. Design tooling is a very active space with the “optimal workflow” constantly being reimagined. We spend the time exploring these tools so that partners like Dom & Tom don’t have to.
